Shipping Scales

Shipping scales are a must-have for distribution facilities, manufacturers, businesspersons, or online sellers. Shipping stores use shipping scales to ship to the public, but virtually every other business ships parcels under 150 lbs or freight over 150 lbs. Packages of 150 lbs or less are often shipped via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other carriers. Freight carriers such as Yellow Freight, UPS Freight, and USF Reddaway ship LTL and FTL freight over 150 lbs. LTL freight stands for Less Than Truckload and can range from one pallet to several. FTL stands for Full Truck Load and takes up the whole truck. Whichever class or type of shipping you do, it is imperative to have an accurate shipping scale to attain weights for freight calculations and quality control and minimize re-weighs and chargebacks.
